FEATURES

Refinery is carried out either on batch operation or as continuous operation. With certain oils even physical refining can be carried out instead of chemical. In the oil refining process, a measured quantity of oil is processed in a sequence of neutralizing, bleaching, dewaxing & deordorzing. Crude oil contains impurities such as gums, coloured & unfiltered protenious matter from the seed that should be removed and refined.

NEURALIZING / DEGUMMING:

The refining of FATS & OILS is comprised of Water Degumming, Gum Conditioning, Alkali refining and Water wash. FATS & OILS having gums and FFA are required to be removed by Degumming & Refining process to produce quality refined oil.

BLEACHING:

The oil received from previous stages contains traces of soap, iron and few ppm of Phospholipids and Carotenes. These contents are undesirable and required to be removed in Bleaching Operation. Whitehorse Overseas bleaching system has Steam Agitated Bleacher & comprises of an acid treatment, a separate bleaching earth dosing device with mechanical mixer, main bleaching vessels, PLF and Bag Filters to remove the spent earth.

DEODORIZAION / PHYSICAL REFINING:

Deodorization process is used to remove the unacceptable odour by Steam Distillation, the Odoriferous Compounds are striped off with the help of live injected steam into heated oil under high vacuum. Whitehorse has strategically designed a combination of tower and fatty acid scrubber, that ensures practically no carryover of fatty acids on to vacuum system.

DEWAXING / WINTERIZAION:

Whitehorse has developed a perfect dynamic coil designed Crystallizer for guaranteed 100% uniform cooling especially for Rice Bran Oil, Sunflower Oil & Palm Oil and is already in operation with our valued clients.
